Everyone is pointing fingers of blame at each other over the exploding beepers incident in Lebanon this week.
Gold Apollo Co., the Taiwanese electronics company whose name was emblazoned on the communication devices, says it did not actually make them. According to Hsu Kuang, the company’s CEO, a Hungarian consulting company called BAC Consulting Kft is responsible for producing the pagers – they were simply licensed to have the Gold Apollo name printed on them.
BAC, in response, claims that it has no idea where the pagers came from and that not a one of them was made in Budapest. So who is telling the truth?
Hsu told reporters at a recent press conference that BAC “entirely handled” the AR-924 pager manufacturing process. BAC has been selling Gold Apollo’s pager brand for less than two years, he further claimed, expressing confusion over how a pager could even be weaponized into an explosive device.
“I’m just doing my business,” Hsu said. “Why am I getting involved in a terrorist attack? The product was not ours. It was only that it had our brand on it.”
CEO of Gold Apollo, Hsu Ching-Kuang denied manufacturing the explosive pager. When asked abt AR-924, he said “it is produced & sold by BAC…we only provide brand trademark authorisation & have no involvement in design or manufacturing of this product.” See my exchange w him. pic.twitter.com/eb6k65oyKl

Gold Apollo also issued an official statement denying that it had any involvement in the production of the pagers that exploded in Lebanon, creating worldwide controversy over who did it and how to respond.
“BAC to use our brand network for product sales in specific regions, but the design and manufacturing of the products are entirely handled by BAC,” the statement reads in broken English.
What remains an anomaly is how the blasts were planned and triggered with such a high degree of coordination. To accomplish what ultimately happened using small amounts of explosives laced into each and every device is a feat that many say only Israel would do.
The Lebanese government says “Israeli aggression” is definitely behind the attack. Hezbollah has said the same, holding Israel “fully responsible” for the incident, even if Israel continues to stonewall issuing any kind of statement.
War preparations are said to now be underway that could erupt into a full-scale conflict between Israel and Lebanon, and likely other surrounding nations as well once the fighting really gets going.
“Taiwan did not directly export these pagers to Lebanon,” a Taiwanese source claimed on X. “The components in the device, such as the antenna, microchip, decoder, and a small no. 3 dry-alkali battery cannot cause explosion.”
“From 2022 to August 2024, Gold Apollo exported 260,000 pagers, mainly to Europe and U.S., with no reports of explosions. A judicial investigation is ongoing. The only thing we can confirm is Taiwan-exported pagers have no explosion issues.”
In a responding comment, someone wrote that Mossad is clearly “a terrorist organization” with the advanced ability to coordinate this type of advanced attack – and yet, we are somehow also supposed to believe that Israel “couldn’t stop Palestinians in flying helicopter bikes?” Make it make sense.
“The American Secret Service also couldn’t stop two deranged losers from coming within inches of killing an ex-president,” wrote another about how the same situation is playing out in the United States, Israel’s military colony.
